We started out small with three bred does purchased from Don and Deb Borden at Hill Place Farm. By purchasing does that had already been bred and kidded once in the past, we figured at least one of us would know what to do come kidding time. As it was the first year went by like a breeze and we have slowly built our herd to our present size of twelve breeding does. We look for does that are large with nice muscle mass but still have a feminine eye appeal.
Here is a small sampling of the sweethearts of Windy Bend
The original babes of Windy Bend Farm. Pogo, Unicorn and Rabbit. You can see we like them big boned and long around here.
Here is Daisy as a yearling. Daisy is usually the first to check out something new and always first to notice if you forget to close a gate.
Here is Noodles and one of her triplets Forrest. So far we have been blessed with loving attentive mothers who pass along both size, and their wonderful dispositions.
Velvet as a yearling. A typical Windy Bend doe, she is long and meaty with nice eye appeal.
